Reading in Bloom is a descendent of the wider organisation Britain in Bloom focusing in getting local comunities involved in transforming spaces.
Why we need you!
Reading In Bloom doesn’t only co-ordinate the local gardening competition it also enters the town in the regional Thames and Chilterns in Bloom, often winning the City category. We need to show the regional judges the quality and imagination of our local gardeners – and that includes schools, community centres and public parks as well as gardens like yours. Ideally we’ll show them a town that is colourful, clean and cared for in every aspect – and one that all our residents and visitors can enjoy.
About the committee
Everyone on the committee is a volunteer and represents a section of our local community including allotment holders, local business, a horticultural specialist and the Council. We are also supported by Reading Today which gives the campaign lots of publicity.
